A note from our Chair

Hello TRTR Community!

I’d like to start off by thanking Jere Jenkins and his staff at Texas A&M for hosting this year’s
conference at College Station last week. While there were a few missing faces due to travel
restrictions, it was so greatto see everyone again!

Some ofthe highlights included visiting the reactor at Texas A&M and hearing about new
upgrades and challenges throughout our community. Itis always so rewarding to learn how
the facilities are so unique yet we are alike in many ways as well. We are also working to have
more participation in the ANS standards committees so if you are interested in becoming
more involved, please let me know.

NRC Day was also very insightful. Much of the time was focused on the new 5-year FSAR
updates and lessons learned over the year in examinations and requal programs. It was really
wonderful having the staff there in person all week to promote a lot of dialogue between the
organizations.

If you haven’t had a chance to attend one yet, I encourage you to getinvolved in the
community and attend next year’s meeting atthe University of Texas in Austin September 21-
25, 2026.

This continues to be a time of growth for the community and there are many changes atthe
NRC. I encourage you to please continue to participate in the NRC’s quarterly calls and feel
free to reach out to me anytime.
